In fact one of my favorite books of all time is Tommy’s Tale by Mr. Cumming. I read it abroad while studying in London and couldn’t put it down. Of course it’s not educational, but as with all of Alan’s work, it offers a different perspective. Anyone can write the tale of a gay man, but Alan’s unique voice jumps off the page and captivates you.
